You are required to complete further education and pay a renewal fee every two years to retain your Green Star Accredited Professional and Green Star Practitioner qualification.
You are required to keep your green building knowledge current by completing a specified number of eligible modules of further education within each two year period following certification. One module generally equates to one half day training course or one online course. Selected events are also recognised for further education credit and, for Green Star Accredited Professionals, 1 module will be credited for working as the main GSAP on one or more Green Star projects within each two year period.
Additionally, a renewal fee is required either two years after your last payment, or since you obtained your qualification. We will remind you as this date approaches.
All costs listed are exclusive of GST
In recognition of your loyalty, existing Green Star Accredited Professionals who are transitioning to the new Education Programme will be credited with status renewal for two years. For the purposes of renewal, this will function as if you passed your exam on January 1st 2011. You will then have this two year period to complete the required modules of further education in preparation for your status renewal on 31st December 2012.
Green Star Accredited Professionals who choose not to continue their Accredited Professional status can move to the Practitioner pathway. Just contact us to make this arrangement.
Please contact us if your NZGBC Industry Professional status lapses for any reason and you wish to renew it.
