The Education Team at NZGBC is currently developing training modules for Industry. These modules are in an online eLearning format. They form part of our Industry Professional Pathways, and selected modules are open to a wider audience as stand-alone courses. Please contact us and let us know what courses you would like to see.
Please note that some NZGBC events, such as the master classes, are also eligible for further education (FE) points.

Commercial Lighting for Energy Efficiency
The direct cost of lighting in commercial buildings is between 30-50% of typical electricity bills. A basic understanding of commercial lighting and potential improvements that can be made, in terms of energy efficiency and lighting optimization, could unlock a range of benefits. Many businesses could reduce their lighting costs by up to 40% while potentially improving productivity and worker satisfaction.

The Business Case for Green Commercial Building
There is strong interest in green building around the world in response to a variety of global drivers. This module looks at the business case for constructing, owning and occupying green commercial buildings, drawing together key research and delivering a need-to-know snapshot of the reasons why green building is a rapidly growing area of construction.

Spring Clean Update
NZGBC has recently conducted a 'Spring Clean' on the Green Star suite of tools. This module covers the changes that have been made to the tools during this project and provides the information required to compile a quality submission post Spring Clean. If you are a Green Star Accredited Professional or Green Star Practitioner who trained prior to 2012, this module will bridge the gap in your learning.
