Rating Tools

The NZGBC is committed to setting standards of best practice and leadership through the development of environmental rating tools. Our current suite of tools has been tailored to address the specific needs of both the commercial and residential markets in New Zealand with the development of the Green Star and Homestar™ tools respectively. These tools are similar in that they take a holistic approach to evaluating the environmental attributes of buildings and allow both industry and homeowners to verify their efforts to reduce the environmental impact of their buildings and homes.
