Green Star Spring Clean

UPDATE: Spring Clean is now live!

UPDATE: eLearning module now available.

The Green Star team have been hard at work to simplify & de-clutter Green Star, we’re calling it our Spring Clean!

We are pleased to announce our Green Star 'Spring Clean' projects, which will significantly reduce the time and cost associated with compiling Green Star submissions. Green Star Spring Clean is all about streamlining and improving Green Star processes and improves the experience for project teams going through the certification process. We have had feedback that compiling Green Star documentation can be costly and time consuming, so this is specifically designed to address these issues and we think it will make a big difference to our project teams. Our improvement projects are:

  • New Credit Templates are now available for Office, Interiors, Education and Industrial. There is also a User Guide to accompany the Templates, all available on our downloads page.
  • You will notice in the Credit Templates, there are reduced documentation requirements. The changes are summarised in the Summary of Changes document on the downloads page, and you can now buy an updated Technical Manual with the deletions indicated. There is more information about the changes we've made on the Reduced Documentation page.
  • We've streamlined the process of Built Certification, reducing documentation requirements for projects undergoing Built certification, that have already achieved Design ratings.
  • New Producer Statement approach for Ene-1 and IEQ-6. You can now submit a producer statement rather than the full energy modelling report for ENE-1 and IEQ-6. The producer statement template is here and there is more information on our website. We have a register of approved Energy modellers here.

These changes can be applied immediately both to new projects and to projects that are already registered and underway with v1 and 2009 projects.

Green Star Spring Clean will significantly reduce the time and cost associated with compiling Green Star submissions. We're keen to hear your feedback about Spring Clean, so please contact us.
