Alex Cutler  

ALEX CUTLER

Chief Executive

 

Alex Cutler is the Chief Executive Officer of the New Zealand Green Building Council (NZGBC).

Alex Cutler joined the New Zealand Green Building Council in May 2010 as CEO.

Her previous role was Associate Director, responsible for building and leading the sustainability practice, adding to the already successfully established climate change practice, at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) New Zealand.

This entailed establishing PwC’s reputation in the field, developing a suite of services to offer clients and leading key pieces of client work.

Rohan Bush

Green Star NZ Manager

 

Rohan manages the direction of the Green Star NZ system, including the development of new tools, project assessment and certification, and Green Star training. 

Her background includes qualifications in Architecture, Building Science and Political Studies; and prior to joining the NZGBC she worked as a Senior Project Manager for Sustainability Victoria in Australia on sustainable buildings, renewable energy policy and energy efficiency programs.

Prior to that a Senior Project Manager for the Department of Corrections responsible for delivering large capital works and upgrade programs at facilities.


Liz Root

Green Star Technical Manager

 

Liz has joined us from the UK, where she worked for BRE with BREEAM, and the Green Building Council of Australia.

As our Technical Manager, she manages and co-ordinates the technical content of the Green Star tools. 


Dion Cowley  

DION COWLEY

Green Star Certification Manager

 

Dion manages all the Green Star submissions and co-ordinates all of the projects going through the certification process from eligibility to certification.

Dion also facilitated the development of the new Green Star - Education building rating tool.


Jenny Marshall

Education Manager

 

Jenny joins us to help NZGBC provide leadership in enhancing the skills required to design, build and maintain sustainable buildings in New Zealand.


Rebecca Conolly  

REBECCA CONOLLY

Green Star Coordinator

 

Rebecca provides technical support and co-ordinates projects going through the certification process from eligibility to certification.


Jeremy Williams  

JEREMY WILLIAMS

Green Star Technical Coordinator

 

Jeremy has joined us from Toronto, Canada where he received a Bachelors of Engineering & Society from McMaster University. His degree combines a structural engineering background with courses studying sustainable design. He has also previously worked for a structural consultancy where his responsibilities included elements of building design, site review and client management.

As Green Star Technical Coordinator, he provides technical support and facilitates the content and development of new and existing Green Star rating tools.

Kirsty Campbell

Marketing Manager

 

As Marketing and Membership Manager, Kirsty develops and implements all NZGBC communications, with members and other key stakeholders.

She also takes care of the brand identity, sponsorship, media relations, and our member events and resources.


Jala Raimon

Office Manager

 

Jala is responsible for the smooth 'running of the NZGBC ship' which includes: office administration and general management including assistance to the CEO, staff assistance and support.

She is also responsible for event administration and communications, member administration and general public communications, external supplier liaison.


Jill Solomon  

JILL SOLOMON

Accountant

 

Jill is responsible for all aspects of accounting for NZGBC, from budgeting to invoicing, to making sure that our events break even.

She works part time on Tuesdays through Thursdays, in between raising her 5 and 2 year old sons.
