The New Zealand Green Building Council (NZGBC) was founded in NZ in July 2005 and in 2006 became the sixth member of the World Green Building Council.
Created by the sector, they are Aotearoa’s leading sustainable building not-for-profit and are passionate advocates for better buildings. There are now 70 green building councils around the world, representing over 36,000 members.
NZGBC are the certifiers for Green Star rated buildings. With three developments within our CBD Blueprint registered to be 6 star rated Green Star buildings, this is a first in the history of Tauranga to have buildings constructed to this level.
Join us to hear from NZGBC’s technical coordinator James Woods, also the Tauranga local connect. Gain a better understanding of what it means to develop a Green Star building and the process required to achieve this.
