NZGBC office fit-out: Actions speak louder than words

If you’re in the business of sustainable buildings, there’s only one way to go when kitting out a new office – as green as you can. Clare Gallagher, Senior Technical Coordinator for Green Star and a member of the design team for the new NZGBC office, talked about how the NZGBC put its own tools into practice to create a welcoming, low-impact home. The NZGBC wanted to make the most of the opportunity to design a new office: apart from achieving a Green Star Interiors rating, they wanted to use the office as a learning resource for the industry, a hub for connecting with NZGBC members and for conversations about sustainability in the built environment. Clare covered the process of achieving the rating, strategies used, the resources developed in the process and lessons learned. View presentation.
