Understanding how to run your building efficiently is a vital part of a facilities manager’s job, and it pays dividends – according to The Warren Centre for Advanced Engineering, buildings where the manager reports a higher level of energy-efficiency knowledge gain a NABERS rating that’s 1.3 stars higher than average.
This half-day training course gives facilities and property managers, and NABERSNZ practitioners, a basic grounding in HVAC and energy efficiency. Increasing your understanding and skills will enable you to work more effectively with energy managers when scoping and managing energy-efficiency projects. It will help you identify the barriers to change, and how you can plan for better results
Stephen Hennessy, a director at WT Sustainability, will run the course – he is a recognised authority on energy and sustainability issues in the built environment, one of Australia’s most prominent and proficient NABERS assessors, and the first NABERSNZ trainer in NZ. The course is also an ideal stepping stone for those who may want to do the more in-depth EMANZ course later on.
