CHANGE OF DATE - THIS EVENT IS NOW ON THURSDAY 1 AUGUST
We're committed to reducing national carbon emissions by 50% by 2030, but how will we measure this and how will we get there? The New Zealand Green Building Council is soon to launch a new standard for buildings, find out what this will mean at this month's Green Speak event.
Hear about Tallwood's Homestar apartment project currently underway in Hamilton. Using cross laminate timber and prefabrication techniques, is this the answer to quality affordable housing?
And if you missed this year's Green Property Summit, the NZGBC Waikato Forum will bring you the highlights.
Mix and mingle with the green building gurus of the Waikato.
Sam Archer, Director of Market Transformation, New Zealand Green Building Council
Alongside our friends at Enviro-Mark Solutions, we’re developing a framework to shift our buildings to net zero carbon. Initially we'll offer a comprehensive net zero carbon building certification for existing commercial buildings. Sam will discuss progress following the nationwide consultation process, and outline the vision to develop this into a standard that could be used to decarbonise all of Aotearoa’s buildings.
Ian Matthew, Senior Project Engineer, Holmes Group
If you missed this summit we'll bring you a taster of this influential event.
Daiman Otto, Director of Design and Digital Construction, Tallwood, Architect and Board Member of PrefabNZ.
