How can councils help ratepayers into healthy, less polluting homes?
You’ve probably just heard on RNZ's Nine To Noon about the way Auckland Council is leading the way for their ratepayers around housing and a less polluted Aotearoa, and you’re wondering what your council can do for your residents. Well we’re delighted to say that we’ve got just the ticket for you – a free webinar from the pioneers at Auckland who led this piece of work.
We have invited Auckland Council to share their path to a low carbon future. Sophie Heighway and Adrian Feasey from the Sustainability Initiatives team will explain how the council is using its targeted rates scheme to improve homes and how LIM reports drive up awareness of lower carbon, healthier homes. The Council has moved to strengthen their schemes by requiring ratings of homes and disclosure of how a building performs at point of sale.
