2020 is nearly coming to a close. Together we would like to say thank you to our members and supporters and provide an opportunity to meet, mingle and exchange the latest developments in the city.

210 Barnard Street, a testament to an exemplary wellington dwelling built on green concepts and family values. Owner, Builder, and Green Star Assessor Karl Wakelin will speak to his experiences in completing a Homestar 9 project, the benefits of living in a high-performance house and the lessons learnt along the way. A case study of what he preaches day-to-day Karl Wakelin, Stephenson & Turner Associate Principal Building Performance Manager, built the house for himself, wife and family. The simple yet elegant high-performing home focuses on the core fundamentals of achieving high levels of performance with a low cost premium - energy needs, comfort, durability and the way ventilation and moisture are dealt with at the forefront of the design. The journey to completion was captured in season three of Grand Designs New Zealand
