82 Wyndham Street - 5 Green Star NZ - Office Built v3The redevelopment of 82 Wyndham St has rejuvenated an existing building into a modern high quality building balancing sustainability and energy efficiency to provide a productive working environment. The project team lead by Argosy created an energy efficient building that is an exemplar for functionality and sustainability whilst being highly energy efficient. 5 Greenstar Office Built rating and 5.5 Stars NabersNZ Energy Base Build rating. The project refurbished an existing B-grade building utilising sustainable building upgrade principles and the Green Star v3 rating tool, to reposition it to an A-grade building. The upgrade included replacing HVAC, lighting, ceiling tiles, carpets and wall coverings. It also involved creating an end of trip facility and upgrading the bathrooms.

Air New Zealand Inflight Logistics Warehouse - 5 Green Star Design rating
This new facility would accommodate the in-flight distribution operations, engineering maintenance spares, and other general storage requirements for Air New Zealand. The building was designed to offer the best possible efficiencies and was awarded a 5-star Green Star environmental sustainability rating. With its striking design and sustainable focus the Inflight Logistics Warehouse is an outstanding example of a building for the future. Designed to offer the best possible efficiencies, the design required detailed assessments and computer modelling of daylighting, energy performance, and airflow analysis throughout. The building is naturally ventilated with operable louvres at low levels in the walls and 14 roof mounted ventilators to help with air movement. Clear roofing allows daylight throughout the building, reducing the need for electric lighting. All water systems are sub-metered.

Waste Management Headquarters - Targeting 5+ Green Star Built rating
The Waste Management New Zealand facility is a fit for purpose, world class development which innovatively combines the corporate and operational activities of the tenant in one facility while reducing the hierarchical structures of old. Stride Property and Waste Management have collaboratively designed and developed this state of the art facility to meet the tenants current needs whilst ensuring the facility can be adapted as the organisation evolves. The waste industry is not renowned for its innovation, however, this project tips that perception on its head, with the property registered to achieve a 5+ Green Star verification. The focus on sustainability in an industrial context, the consideration of the environmental impact of the business’s activities and the joint commitment to sustainability principles make this project not only different, but remarkably so.

Let us guide you on a walking tour of three of the most exciting new green buildings located in the heart of Auckland's CBD. Featuring:
Te Kupenga (155 Fanshawe) - 6 Green Star design rating
The building is a seven-level office building with two levels of basement car parking. The structure is reinforced concrete with precast concrete walls. The façade has double glazing IGUs throughout with spandrel panels between floors.
The Britomart Hotel - 5 Green Star design rating
Cooper and Company's The Hotel Britomart is a boutique hotel. The new 10-storey, 104-room hotel set to open in Auckland's Britomart area in 2020, is the very first Green Star certified hotel in Aotearoa. The Cheshire Architects designed building will be located on the corner of Gore and Galway Streets and includes the refurbishment and restoration of the adjoining Masonic and Buckland heritage office buildings.
Commercial Bay - 5 Green Star design rating
The Commercial Bay Tower is a 39 level office tower currently under construction. It is located in the Auckland CBD at the previous site of the Downtown Shopping Centre site which has been demolished. The Commercial Bay Tower will have 3 levels of basement car parking (separate title) and a multi-level Retail Centre. The site is within the area bounded by Quay Street, Lower Albert Street, Customs Street West and Lower Queen Street.
