Praise for Christchurch’s latest green church

The post-quake rebuild of St Patrick’s Catholic Church has been awarded a 4 Green Star rating for its eco-smart design. Propelled by the diocese’s green agenda, Green Star was centre stage in the design phase that involved close collaboration with the church community.

Supreme Award for Stride Property's Waste Management green headquarters

Showcased in the Green Speak Waikato webinar in April, this building not only took out the green building award, but also claimed the supreme award at the Property Industry Awards last month. Huge congratulations to the long list of NZGBC members who collaborated on this iconic building.

This home has been awarded an impressive 8 Homestar rating, however owner Simon Wilson says the focus wasn’t on a specific number but on achieving great outcomes.
