Bruce Curtain

Principal Architect

Bruce is the National Technical Director – Architecture for Opus Architecture. Born and trained in Wellington he spread his wings to work for Foster + Partners in London, spending 9 years on projects big and small - the largest being both the airport master planning and a new terminal for Heathrow Airport. City Hall was also one of those projects that inspired Bruce to challenge his preconceptions about design and technical collaboration. On returning to NZ he has pursued this interest further by joining Opus and working across a range of technically challenging building and infrastructure projects. Bruce is always looking to push the boundaries of our collective practice of architecture and engineering in the pursuit of sustainable design.
