Sustainable communities champion Tessa Meyer is the current NZGBC Future Thinker of the Year and KiwiRail’s Programme Sustainability Lead for the Interislander Resilient Connection Programme (iReX). Tessa has worked with NZGBC on New Zealand’s first Green Star Communities ratings and Australasia’s first Volume rating during her time with Panuku Development Auckland. She holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Urban Resilience and Renewal. Her research formed part of MBIE’s Resilient Urban Futures Programme and she served as Vice Present of the Student Volunteer Army during her time at the University of Canterbury.
