Jobs at NZGBC

Momentum is growing. Increasingly people are looking for ways to deliver efficient, healthy, innovative buildings for New Zealanders to live, work and play in. As a result, our little whānau continues to expand.

As well as an amazing ability to swiftly deal with the frequent cakes that beset our Green Star rated office, we're a passionate team who believe in what we do. Join us and be part of the journey to a sustainably built future.

Technical Coordinator

We're expanding our team with a new opportunity suitable for a graduate from an engineering, building science, architecture, facility management or other related subject or someone with relevant experience within the construction industry. The role of Technical Co-Ordinator will support the successful delivery of Green Star and Homestar and contribute technical support to other NZGBC initiatives. This includes working with project teams and being their first point of contact through the certification process, project tracking and data management and providing support to new tool development and tool review projects.

Business Development Manager - Existing Buildings

We're expanding our team with a new opportunity for a Business Development Manager to lead our efforts to transform our existing building and help achieve our vision for buildings to be green and sustainable.

The Business Development Manager will help the market understand how they can lower their carbon footprint and why they should, as well as what tools are available to them. You will be building relationships with key players in the property sector (across all building typologies – offices, industrial, community, retail, education, health and other building types), presenting and meeting with key entities that manage and own buildings, and maintaining strong relationships with decision makers.

Our internship & volunteer opportunities

Every year we're fortunate to welcome a host of summer interns who help us drive the uptake and delivery of green buildings in Aotearoa. From marketing decisions to technical knowledge and support, our interns have helped us roll out some key tool updates, certifications, and campaigns.
