Green Speak Waikato and Rototuna School tour

NZGBC Waikato Forum hosts the third in this year's Green Speak Waikato event series to coincide with World Green Building Week 2017.

Inspirational talks and networking follow directly from a tour of the school.

Rototuna School - building tour

To celebrate World Green Building Week 2017, Rototuna School is kindly opening its doors to the public. You will be able to see this newly completed educational facility first hand. Targeting Green Star certification, this building has been designed with many systems that reduce its overall environmental impact

The Rototuna School project - building to Green Star

Amanda Bryan, Sustainability Leader, Aurecon

Jacqui Hudson, former Project Coordinator, Arrow International

As key project leaders in the construction of Rototuna School, Amanda will speak from the consultant's perspective and Jacqui will describe the project from the builder's perspective. They will look at how the project is impacted by targeting Green Star and the environmental benefits of the systems installed to the school.

New tools revolutionising existing buildings & homes

Andrew Eagles, CEO of New Zealand Green Building Council

New buildings & homes are changing in New Zealand. Homestar has 10,000 homes confirmed. But what about our current building stock? New tools are now available to evaluate the performance and health of existing homes and buildings. Green Star Performance, provides investors better visibility of asset performance. And in homes, HomeFit provides an assessment of the health and comfort of existing homes. Andrew will explain why the market is so excited about these tools.
