Bobby Shen is our Business Development Manager for existing buildings, looking after the Green Star Performance, NABERSNZ and CarboNZero tools. He is a Green Star Accredited Professional since 2015 and brings his experience in architectural design (commercial/industrial) and improving existing buildings. He likes to think of sustainability holistically, from passive design principles to buildings being intuitive for users; identifying ways to design sustainability into buildings, new or old.

He is a strong advocate for climate action and healthy built environments. He is very involved in the community he grew up in at Mt Roskill and is an assessor for the new Sustainable Real Estate online course for the University of Cambridge UK, where he did a sustainability course last year. He holds a Master of Architecture (Professional) Hons from the University of Auckland, where his thesis explored culture, community, and connections.

In his spare time, he likes to explore Tāmaki Makaurau’s cycle network on his trusty ebike or pull out weeds at the local stream restoration group in Lynfield, which he finds cathartic.

Monique has joined the Sustainable Finance team at ANZ following 10 years’ experience in the Property Finance industry. She has been involved in both the New Zealand and UK market, previously focusing on sustainable property. With a degree in Economics, Monique then went on to complete the Sustainability Development Goals programme via the University of Copenhagen to build on her existing banking experience in relationship management, deal structuring and portfolio management.

Ruben Langbroek is Head of Asia Pacific for GRESB. Mission-driven and investor-led, GRESB is the environmental, social and governance (ESG) benchmark for real assets. GRESB works in collaboration with the industry to provide standardized and validated ESG data to the capital markets. More than 150 institutional investors, with over USD 50 trillion in AUM, use GRESB data to monitor their investments, engage with their managers, and make decisions that lead to a more sustainable real asset industry.

Ruben is responsible for the strategic growth of GRESB in Asia Pacific, by strengthening and further developing GRESB’s relationship with institutional investors, investment managers, asset operators, and industry associations.

Ruben has extensive experience in the real asset investment sector and has been working in the Asia Pacific region for the last decade. He previously worked at a European property fund manager and at a global real estate consultancy in the Netherlands, Hong Kong and in Singapore. Ruben holds master’s degrees in Building Engineering and in Real Estate Investments.

Michael joined Bayleys Property Services in January 2021 and has since taken on the responsibility of National Portfolio Manager for our two largest clients being Blackstone/151P and Centuria. He has over 18years’ commercial property experience, specialising in property and asset management. Key strengths include client service delivery and relationship management along with implementing value-add asset strategy, prop tech and sustainability initiatives.

Sharyn joined Stride Property Group nearly 5 years ago. Sharyn is responsible for safety and sustainability across Stride and the property owning entities managed by Stride, covering commercial office, industrial, town centre and large format retail properties. The GRESB assessment has been undertaken at Stride for the last 4 years, starting with 1 fund and moving to three separate assessments in 2022, covering all assets, with a total value of $3.5 billion. In addition to GRESB, Sharyn manages the greenhouse gas inventory for Stride, assists with the Green Star Design & As Built submissions, NABERSNZ ratings and more recently Green Star Performance ratings. Sharyn is also closely involved in preparing for the mandatory Climate Risk Disclosures (TCFD) reporting.
